The retro trade - Biography
The retro trade are an electro–indie act from the South West of England. The retro trade was formed in 2007 by Ainz Charlton and Jon Marett through their common interest in the ever changing world of music. The pair are both experienced musicians and have had success in the industry in their own right.
Their sound is best described as electro-indie because they still use conventional instrumentation on their tracks but mix in electronica and sampled sounds allowing them to experiment and create fantastic sound scapes in their songs.
The bands first album ‘SUNDAY RAIN’ was very low-fi and saw the beginnings of the electro-indie sound they have today. Sunday rain was well received and did extremely well on the download market.
The retro trade have finished producing their second album ‘THIS TIME NEXT TIME’ which is an absolute triumph. The album has some fantastic singles from the title track ‘this time next time’ to the exciting indie-pop tune ‘trouble in your eyes’.
The retro trade have certainly got something very exciting to offer the music world of today.
